Description[]

Guile is an ex Bushido Blaster. His epithet is defector, and his powerset revolves around teamkilling.

History[]

Regional Below Ceremony[]

Guile joins Regional Below and fights as a competitor. He tells everyone that his epithet is gun, and that he needs to carry a gun with him as an epithet catalyst. After Sylvie weirds him out, Guile asks him if he has any friends, to which Sylvie answers no. Guile feels bad and befriends Sylvie. He tells Sylvie that the middle finger means "peace among worlds." Giovanni and other Bushido Blasters join Regional Below to find Guile and get revenge on him for deserting the blasters and stealing a ton of money from them, but fail to do so. In the first round, Guile is supposed to fight Molly, but she explains to him that she was not supposed to enter the competition at all, and Guile refuses to shoot a child, so instead of fighting, he and Sylvie help promote the Blyndeff Toy Emporium.

When Abbot Arbuckle interrupts the competition to report illegal activity and attacks the party, Guile helps defeat him. Then, he tries to help fight Mera. He tries to shoot her twice with a gun, failing both times, and then asks her if her epithet is "bitch" which hurts her feelings. After Mera is defeated, Giovanni and his team of Bushido Blasters try to capture Guile. He runs away by jumping out the window, but before he gets the chance to Charlotte reveals his epithet to everyone out of spite. The blasters chase after Guile after he runs away.

Horizontal Pilot Command[]

Guile continues to evade Abbot Arbuckle under the name Email Gunning. He is working at the registration booth at the Pilot Command convention. Guile registers the party as one big team for the competition. Rick respects Guile because he believes Guile is a fellow wizard. He tells Sylvie that he is Guile, but he doesn't want his cover blown, so Sylvie should call him Email for now. When Don Infusio goes over to the stand, Guile threaten him with a gun. When the party leaves after registration, Guile thanks Sylvie for talking to him. Later, when the party is questioning Charles, Guile tries to get them to stop or to get away from his stall, until Noah asks Charles if her epithet is repulsive, at which point Guile begins banging his head against the table instead.

After Crackerjack dies during his match, Nezzer tells Guile that as registration manager, he must join in the fight alongside Charles. Guile reluctantly joins after he realizes that he can't get out of it. He throws the game because he doesn't want to fight Sylvie, because Charles won't stop flirting with him, and because he just doesn't care. Later, during the boss fight with Charles, Guile's passive causes him to betray the party and team up with Charles, but Sylvie hypnotizes Guile into thinking that the party was his enemy so his passive reversed and he started fighting alongside them instead. After the battle ends, the hypnosis goes away, and Guile thinks of the party as friends again.

Executive Grin Contest[]

Guile is a member of the second team that team Perfume Rot faces in the contest, along with Sylvie, Moot, Charles, and Zora. He is disguised as a nun, and calls himself the Leg Aiming Nun. His disguise doesn't fool anybody besides Giovanni, because Yoomtah gave Guile a name tag that said "Guile Manning, his epithet is Defector." He is saddened when Moot sends Sylvie to the Moot Realm.

At the beginning of the beach contest, Guile steals Zora's guns. Ramsey asks Guile to help him get together with Charles, but Guile tells him that he doesn't think it's a good idea. Ramsey insists that he is going to ask Charles out anyways, to which Guile replies, "It's your heartbreak," and then shoots him in the foot because he had to betray Ramsey because he helped him. When the game officially begins, Zora realizes her guns are gone, and demands that Guile return them. Guile tries to make a deal with her, saying that if he gives her guns back, she has to promise not to hurt him, but halfway through pitching the deal he decides it's pointless and gives her one of her guns back anyways, along with a bar of soap. After Zora attempts to shoot Regina instead of him, he returns the other gun. Later, when Ramsey is in the ocean, Guile saves him from drowning, and then promptly tries to shoot Ramsey a second time after promising not to, but the gun jams. He plays it off, and Ramsey does not notice. After his team loses, he and the other members of his team stay on the beach.

Exquisite Drunken Candymaker[]

Guile appears alongside Sierra Saxton during Charles and Ramsey's date. He is disguised and using the fake name Lunging Anime. He makes it his goal to ruin the date because he doesn't think the pair make a good match. He tampers with Ramsey's food, but Ramsey manages to deal with it. His attempts at sabotaging the date fail. Afterwards, he and sierra are implied to have gone back into the kitchen, even though it's on fire.

Annihilate Adjustable Flaw[]

Guile is in the credits/epilogue sequences. His epilogue is "Upon reflection, Guile realized it doesn't matter what outfit you wear. Even if the red string of fate is on your side, and you have all the luck in the world, in the end, if you want to be loved, you have to strive to be someone worth loving."

Powers[]

Guiles abilities all center around team killing and betrayal. He has an ability that allows him to convince another PC or an NCP that he is on their side if he rolls high enough. He also has a move where he shoots people, which is more effective when used against a friend/teammate. His passive causes him to betray his party in a battle, and he joins the enemy team. This may be better for his allies though, as all of his moves would detriment whoever he is fighting with.

Fun Facts[]

  • All of Guile's aliases are anagrams of his name
  • His "Email Gunning" outfit is a cosplay of 'Fidget,' another one of WarpedLamp's characters
